My name is Jess, and I’d love to let you take a DEEP BREATH and relax knowing your animals are in capable and experienced hands while you travel.
What makes me qualified to care for your pets, horses, or livestock? I’m glad you asked!
I have:
A Bachelor’s of Science degree in Equine Business Management from The University of Findlay
16+ years of working in the veterinary, animal rescue, and equine/canine health industry
Managed a 14 stall hunter/jumper/dressage facility and a 60 horse hunter/jumper/dressage/lesson facility
Over 20 years of horse ownership under my belt
Worked closely with a veterinary behaviorist and certified dog trainer for my own critters
CPR certification through The RECOVER Academy
Extensive canine, feline, and equine first aid experience
Close to 30 years of pet sitting experience
Insurance that covers all sizes of pets, but please note I am not able to provide services to commercial equine boarding facilities or for livestock that are not considered pets
Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule
The concept of Deep Breath Pet and Farm Sitting Services has been in the works for a long time, and I’m excited to bring this to fruition. I know how tough it is to be able to travel when you have horses, livestock, or animals with special needs at home, and my goal is to provide you the opportunity to BREATHE and take a break while I care for your animals.
My Approach
Since my first childhood pets, I have had a passion for animal care that goes deep into my bones. Nothing brings me more joy than to spend time with animals, and I’d rather be with pets than people. I seek animals wherever I go, and strive to have a calm, dependable demeanor that even the toughest creatures find comforting. I am fascinated by animal behavior and how to interact in species appropriate manners, as well as learning each individual animal client’s likes, dislikes, and normal behavior so I can easily identify if anything is amiss. I pride myself in providing nothing less than stellar customer service, to both my human clients and my animal clients!
